The desire to create has always been my passion. I am fascinated by form, color and texture. I work experimentally and intuitively allowing my emotional responses to guide me. Using water based mediums I layer, scratch, take away and rebuild as the painting evolves. I love contrasts which is evident in my work, rough and smooth, dull and shiny, textured and flat, vintage and modern. Like my personality my work is spontaneous and complex. My hope is to make a connection with the viewer and cause them to experience some of the excitement and pleasure that I have enjoyed creating the piece.
