What is Holding You Back?

Are you struggling to find clarity?

Is finding time and setting boundaries a problem?

You just can’t get started?

One to One Coaching

If you are feeling at a loss as to your purpose for making your art coaching can help.

Making art is more than technique and skill, it is also mindset. To give ourselves the permission to make our best art we need to understand how to support ourselves as artists.

I help artists identify what is holding them back. By asking the questions and listening deeply I can help you bring awareness to your inner dialogues. Together we can uncover limiting thoughts and beliefs so you can re-commit to your creative work.

I have painted for a number of years, taken many courses/workshops, and participated in a number of art groups: however, over many months, I had become anxious just looking at a canvas, or partially finished canvases — and had no idea where to go.
Finally, I contacted Patt, and asked for a consultation.
We met on zoom, due to covid 19 restrictions, and she had me describe how I saw the problem. She listened carefully to my words and then asked some pointed questions.
Those questions made me realize that I had lost focus and absorbed fears which made me afraid of putting anything on the canvas. I was feeling numb and afraid, which was not my persona. I had forgotten the joy of fun and spontaneity and was expecting some kind of an unknown outcome, without really understanding why I was painting, and what I was feeling when I put brush to canvas.
She advised a number of things to address my answers to her questions. As I took steps to follow her advice, I realized a number of things that I had forgotten or neglected to attend to in my approach to art. In one session, she had zeroed in on the problem, gave ideas on how to reframe my thinking, and advised steps to take to re-vitalize my approach to art.
I know her workshops are good, and at the same time, I’m convinced her coaching is impeccable!

Make it Happen

I can help you!

Find more fulfillment and joy in your art practice.

Bring to life the creative work that you've been procrastinating on for years?

I’m here to help you. Together we can make things happen to move you forward on your own terms and by your own rules.

I offer a complimentary 30 minute discovery session to get to know each other and see if we would be a good fit to work together.

I use the Zoom platform to host the sessions. Sessions are 60-90 minutes in length where we take a deep dive into discovering your challenges and fears. If you wish, the session can be recorded for you to listen to again.

As a trained coach I will hold the space for you so you will feel supported, heard and understood.

Your privacy is of the utmost importance and our conversations will not be shared.

This work is not about teaching you techniques or skills, critiquing your work, or helping you with your art business. I may however give you guidance on what you need to move forward in these areas.

I offer these services through my mentoring program. You can find out about that here.
